Actor Tom Holland has offered an update on his health following last Friday’s incident on the set of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” where he sustained a concussion.
Holland took to Instagram on Saturday to promote last Saturday’s event for The Brothers Trust, a nonprofit run by his parents. Holland attended the event the day after his injury but left early due to feeling ill.
In the caption, he added he is currently on the mend: “I’m sorry I had to leave early but I’m feeling better and on the mend. A huge thanks to my Dad for taking over after I left. The show got considerably funnier”.
Filming on the project was paused after Holland’s injury with production set to resume on Monday. Some second unit filming appeared to have taken place this past week with video of that going online.
Shooting on the project began on August 10th and the film will be in production for much of the rest of the year. So far, there are reportedly no plans to shift the film’s July 31st 2026 release date.
The news comes as a recent episode of “Peacemaker” has reportedly made “Spider-Man” canon as a fictional character in James Gunn’s DC Universe – not unlike the way Marvel’s “Eternals” did so with its Superman reference.
