“Hocus Pocus 2” Set For Disney+ In 2022

Disney+ has officially set a 2022 premiere date on its service of the new “Hocus Pocus” movie.

In addition, the streamer also confirmed that “The Proposal” filmmaker Anne Fletcher is taking over directing duties from Adam Shankman who had to bow out due to scheduling conflicts.

Shankman remains on as an executive producer on this follow-up to the 1993 feature starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as three witches resurrected.

All three actresses are returning for the sequel, which begins production in the fall and follows three young women accidentally bringing the Sanderson Sisters back to modern-day Salem. They must stop the child-hungry witches from causing trouble.
