Alfred Hitchcock’s iconic 1958 psychological thriller “Vertigo” is being used as the inspiration for a video game set to be released later this year.

Pendulo Studios’ “Vertigo” is described as a “narrative and adventure game freely inspired by the movie masterpiece directed by Alfred Hitchcock”.

The game will use the same themes of obsession, memory, perception, identity and manipulation along with using elements of Hitchcock’s camerawork in the film.

The game is not a direct adaptation, so you won’t be playing as Jimmy Stewart’s character. Instead, you will be able to control three different characters to fill in gaps from multiple perspectives, as well as explore different timelines to “cross-check the events and separate reality from deceptive memories.”
