Madison Wells has acquired the film rights and plans to develop a feature adaptation of the best-selling high-stakes thriller novel “State of Terror”.
The book was penned by former U.S. Secretary of State, Senator and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton alongside New York Times best-selling novelist Louise Penny.
The story follows a novice Secretary of State who finds herself unexpectedly brought into the administration by a newly-elected President who is also her political and personal adversary. Events soon erupt that sweep her into a world of intrigue and diplomacy with personal and global high stakes.
Both Clinton and Penny will serve as executive producers and consultants on the film which HiddenLight Productions will produce.
