Netflix’s breakout young adult LGBTQ-themed romantic dramedy series “Heartstopper” has been such a hit for the streamer, they’ve renewed the show for two additional seasons.
Inspired by the webcomic and graphic novel by series creator Alice Oseman, the story follows Charlie Spring (Joe Locke), a gay schoolboy who falls in love with his rugby-playing classmate Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) whom he sits next to in his new form.
The series also deals with their friends Tao (William Gao), Elle (Yasmin Finney), Tara (Corinna Brown), Darcy (Kizzy Edgell) and Isaac (Tobie Donovan).
See-Saw Films produced the series which launched in April and has consistently ranked in Netflix’s top 10 list in over fifty countries. Reviews have also been stellar with both a 100% critics and 98% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
