HBO has announced it will offer all nine episodes of its celebrated “Watchmen” limited series for free from tomorrow for the ‘Juneteenth’ weekend.
Starting 1pm US-ET/PT Friday June 19th and running through Sunday June 21st, the series will be available to watch on HBO.com and Free On Demand. The network will also air a marathon of the series on HBO and HBO Latino starting at 1:00pm ET/PT on Friday.
The move comes “as an extension of the network’s content offering highlighting Black experiences, voices and storytellers”. The property is self-contained and serves as a sequel to Alan Moore’s original work, tackling issues of race, power, and police corruption along with tying into the real-life event of the Tulsa race massacre.
