HBO’s highly anticipated TV series adaptation of “The Last of Us” game franchise is getting a presence at Brazil Comic-Con (CCXP).

The event is set to take place beginning on December 1st and will run until December 4th, but a specific date for a ‘Last of Us’ panel at the event hasn’t been set as yet.

The show’s teaser trailer hit late September with a January 15th premiere date announced. Thus it seems likely the show’s full trailer will be released at the event and online shortly after.

The story is set twenty years after the destruction of modern civilization in a biological apocalypse involving fungal spores. The action centers on Joel (Pedro Pascal), a hardened survivor who is hired to smuggle a girl named Ellie (Bella Ramsey) out of an oppressive quarantine zone. The seemingly small job becomes a brutal journey as they come to depend on each other for survival.

The first season will adapt the original 2013 PlayStation exclusive and hails from Craig Mazin (“Chernobyl”) and original game director Neil Druckmann.
