HBO has premiered the official trailer for the ten-episode fourth and final season of HBO’s Emmy-winning drama series “Succession” which premieres on Sunday March 26th.
The new run, which kicks off two weeks after HBO’s current hit “The Last of Us” wraps its run on March 12th, picks up in the wake of the third season finale as patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox) betrayed his adult kids including Siobhan (Sarah Snook), Roman (Kieran Culkin) and Kendall (Jeremy Strong).
The sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer. The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is complete.
A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed. From the looks of it, the kids look to partner with rival Sandi Furness (Hope Davis) and Kendall’s erstwhile tormentor Stewy Hosseini (Arian Moayed) along with the rival media conglomerate Pierce family.
Nicholas Braun, Hiam Abbass, Peter Friedman, Matthew Macfadyen, Justin Kirk, Rob Yang, Dagmara Dominczyk, J. Smith-Cameron, Justine Lupe, David Rasche, and Fisher Stevens co-star.
The series has been an awards juggernaut for HBO with the first three seasons snagging 48 Emmy nominations and 13 wins across its first three seasons.
