With HBO airing its “The Penguin” finale tonight, the premium cabler has unleashed another two-minute trailer showcasing its content coming in 2025.
The new clip includes several seconds of new looks at new shows like “IT: Welcome to Derry,” “Duster,” “The Pitt” and “Game of Thrones: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” along with a fairly long new look at the Mark Ruffalo-led “Task” which hails from the creator of “Mare of Easton”.
There’s also glimpses of the new season of “The Last of Us” (a recut of the first trailer) along with the new seasons of “The White Lotus,” “The Righteous Gemstones,” “Hacks,” “The Gilded Age,” and “And Just Like That”.
Perhaps the most unexpected inclusion though is the very first footage from the second season of its DC Comics “Peacemaker” series with good looks at John Cena and new to the series Frank Grillo. It’s short and doesn’t reveal much though.
That series isn’t expected until the back half of 2025 and so it’s unlikely we’ll get any kind of teaser trailer until well into next year sometime.
There’s also a brief look at the network’s last big series for this year – “Dune: Prophecy” which launches next Sunday.
