With so much attention on the launch of the “Game of Thrones” prequel spin-off “House of the Dragon” on HBO tonight, the premium cabler used the opportunity to tease its upcoming slate – namely shows arriving this Fall and in 2023.
The biggest reveal of the clip is the first footage from the highly anticipated series adaptation of the critically acclaimed video game “The Last of Us,” which gets a ‘pride of placement’ 15-20 seconds tease at the end of the trailer even if it doesn’t reveal much.
That’s not the only series getting a look-see though, with the first clips from the second season of Mike White’s acclaimed “The White Lotus” and two 2023 mini-series – “The White House Plumbers” and “Love and Death”.
There’s also more footage from “The Idol,” and confirmation we’ll see “His Dark Materials” S3, “Avenue 5” S2 and “Los Espookys” S2 all before year’s end.
Quicker shots confirm in 2023 that HBO is getting fourth seasons of “Succession” and “Barry”; third seasons of “Hacks,” “Warrior” and “The Righteous Gemstones”; and second seasons of “Tokyo Vice,” “Our Flag Means Death,” “And Just Like That,” “The Gilded Age,” “Perry Mason,” “Julia,” “Minx,” “Somebody Somewhere” and “Winning Time”.
Onto the Max Originals and a fourth season of “Titans,” a third season of “Pennyworth,” and second seasons of “Gossip Girl,” “Rap S–t” and “The Sex Lives of College Girls” are coming along with an apparent confirmation of a fourth season of “Doom Patrol”. Check out the clip below:
