WarnerMedia-backed premium cabler HBO has renewed Mike White’s satirical limited series “The White Lotus” for a second season.
Details of the new season indicate the show is going to be an anthology in nature as it leaves the Hawaiian locale of the first season behind and follows a different group of holidaymakers at a different White Lotus hotel property.
The first season was filmed entirely on location in Hawaii with a cast including Murray Bartlett, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario, Jake Lacy, Natasha Rothwell, Steve Zahn.
The series has achieved week over week growth on both HBO and HBO Max, fared well critically, and has become a social media darling that stirs plenty of conversation.
