HBO Max has premiered the teaser trailer for the second season of “Hacks,” its critically acclaimed comedy series which sees Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder’s characters head out on a road trip.
Smart plays a legendary comedian who has spent years performing at a residency in Las Vegas, Einbinder an aspiring comedy writer cancelled for an off-color tweet. The latter finds herself working as a writer for the former.
Laurie Metcalf, Martha Kelly, Ming-Na Wen and Susie Essman all join as recurring guest stars in the new run while Margaret Cho and Devon Sawa will also guest star.
Regulars Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Kaitlin Olson, Christopher McDonald, Poppy Liu, Johnny Sibilly and Megan Stalter are all back for the eight new episodes which will air two episodes every Sunday from May 12th through to June 2nd.
