HBO Max has handed out a two-season order for a reboot of the adult animated series “Clone High,” and a series order for a standalone series focusing on “Scooby-Doo” character Velma Dinkley.

“Clone High” hails from original series creators Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and Bill Lawrence. Lord and Miller will write and the pair will executive produce with Lawrence for MTV Entertainment Studios.

Erica Rivinoja, a writer on the original series, will serve as executive producer and showrunner. The new take is a modern refresh of the original and will once again be set at a high school for clones of historical figures.

“Velma” will delve into the origin story of the beloved animated sleuth and member of the Mystery Inc. gang. A ten-episode order has been handed out with Mindy Kaling to provide the titular character’s voice along with executive producing alongside Charlie Grandy, Howard Klein, and Sam Register.

Both announcements were part of an animation slate revealed by HBO Max on Wednesday. Other projects in the works are a pick up of the Pete Davidson-led workplace comedy “Fired on Mars,” and a second and third season renewal for JG Quintel’s “Close Enough” ahead of the second season premiere February 25th.
