HBO Max has ordered “Degrassi,” a reboot/revival of the famed teen drama franchise with plans for a 2023 debut.
The ten episode series will chart several Toronto students and their faculty dealing with major events that both unite and divide them.
Showrunners and executive producers Lara Azzopardi and Julia Cohen are developing the series which will shoot this coming Summer in Toronto.
In addition, HBO Max has scored the U.S. rights for all 14 seasons of “Degrassi: The Next Generation” which will become available on the streamer in spring this year.
