WarnerMedia has reportedly introduced a new promotional pricing offer for its HBO Max streaming service less than a month before its launch on May 27th.
The company is offering customers a 20% discount on the streaming package for twelve months – reducing the cost to $11.99 per month versus the regular $14.99 rate. The offer is available only to new subscribers and ‘returning eligible’ HBO Now subscribers before the service’s launch.
The deal makes it less than Netflix’s standard HD plan ($12.99 per month) and on par with Hulu’s ad-free VOD tier. WarnerMedia adds that there is only a limited number of subscriptions to this offer and no free trials will be available during the offer period.
For now, the discounted price is available only if you pre-order directly through WarnerMedia rather than through another distributor.
