Roku, Inc. and WarnerMedia have reached an agreement which will see the HBO Max service come to the Roku platform from tomorrow (December 17th).
Roku users will be able to download HBO Max from the Roku channel store and subscribe directly on their Roku device to access all of HBO Max – including 10,000 hours of curated premium storytelling from brands like HBO, Warner Bros., DC, Adult Swim and more.
For users who have already subscribed to HBO through their Roku devices, the HBO app will automatically update to become the HBO Max app and they will be able to log in using existing HBO credentials.
The deal comes a week before the launch of “Wonder Woman 1984” on HBO Max on Christmas Day – the film now available to Roku users, the last major device to get access to the app.
