Nearly a year after Netflix launched their ‘Play Something’ shuffle option, WarnerMedia’s HBO Max SVOD platform has done the same this week with the introduction of a ‘shuffle’ button.
The much-requested feature offers users the ability to play back a random episode from a series on the platform. However, unlike the Netflix one, which spans their entire service, HBO Max’s version is restricted to 45 series for the moment ranging from “South Park” to “Friends” to “Rick and Morty”.
The HBO Max version is also currently only available globally in the desktop interface, whereas Netflix’s is restricted to connected TV devices and Android mobile platforms.
