HBO’s “Los Espookys” has been cancelled after two seasons.

Ana Fabrega, Julio Torres, Cassandra Ciangherotti, Bernardo Velasco, and Fred Armisen starred in the show, which debuted in 2019 and launched its second season in September this year.

The series follows a group of friends and horror film lovers in Mexico City who start a business concocting scary situations and making people think they are real.

HBO said in a statement. “We thank Julio, Ana and Fred for this imaginative and delightfully bizarre world they created. We are not currently planning on a third season, but we would welcome the opportunity to work with this cast and crew in the future.”

Torres currently has a first-look deal with HBO and HBO Max and has two comedy series currently in development there – “Little Films” and “Lucky”.
