Ethan Hawke, Cristina Chiriac and Phil Neilson will star in the Abel Ferrara-directedd war thriller “Zeros and Ones”. Filming begins in Italy later this month.
Hawke will portray an American soldier stationed in Rome as it’s under siege following the Vatican being blown up. He embarks on a hero’s journey to uncover and defend against an unknown enemy threatening the entire world.
Ferrara (“King of New York,” “Bad Lieutenant”) says it’s a film of “lockdown and war, danger and espionage, American soldiers, Chinese middlemen, Mid Eastern holy men, provocateurs, diplomats, rogue elements of the CIA and KGB.”
Ferrara penned the script while Diana Phillips and Philipp Kreuzer will produce. “Good Time” cinematographer Sean Price Williams will lens the film.
