Ethan Hawke, Juliette Binoche, Catherine Deneuve and Ludivine Sagnier are all set to team up in 3B Productions, Wild Bunch and Bunbuku’s “La Verite,” the newest film from Hirokazu Kore-eda whose “Shoplifters” took the Palme d’Or this year at Cannes.
Binoche and Hawke play a married couple who return to France from the United States when the wife’s mother (Deneuve), a well-known actress, publishes her autobiography. During their reunion, various truths are revealed.
The film is set to be shot entirely in France in October and November this year ahead of a 2019 release. Kore-eda’s acclaimed “Like Father, Like Son” was acquired for a remake by Steven Spielberg.
