Harington Doesn’t Know His Marvel Future

“Game of Thrones” alum Kit Harington joined the MCU with his role as Dane Whitman, aka the Black Knight, in Chloe Zhao’s “Eternals”.

The actor didn’t slap on his character’s superhero stylings in the film, but the part obviously seemed set up to appear in future movies – with a post-credits scene suggesting he’ll be coming back.

Recently speaking with THR to promote his upcoming indie thriller “Blood for Dust,” Harington spoke about his casting process and his character’s future saying he has no clue when he’ll be back:

“I don’t know anything further. I know that there are plans, I think, at some point, but I don’t know what they are.

I wasn’t that interested in rocking up in a Marvel movie just to play someone’s boyfriend. I knew of some future possibilities, so that’s always been part of the conversation.

But like with anything, you don’t really know. You sort of do your research on what character it could be, and you go, ‘Oh, that looks quite fun.’

But it’s up to them whether they want to bring that person into their plans. I don’t know at this stage. I have no idea what their plans are.”

Harington, who recently became a dad, has a ‘Thrones’ sequel series centered on his Jon Snow character on the way as well.
