“Twilight” and “Thirteen” director Catherine Hardwicke has been set to helm the viking fantasy-adventure “Heathen” for Constantin Film and Prime Universe Films.
The stories centers on the warrior Aydis, an outcast lesbian born into a time of warfare, suffering, and the subjugation of women. She is on a mission to end the oppressive reign of the god-king Odin.
Hardwicke will direct from a script by Kerry Williamson, based on the comic by Natasha Alterici. She will also executive produce. Robert Kulzer, Margo Klewans, Adrian Askarieh and F.J. DeSanto will produce.
Hardwicke is currently in production on the Quibi show “Don’t Look Deeper” starring Don Cheadle and Emily Mortimer.
