David Gordon Green’s “Halloween Ends” pulled in a very healthy $5.4 million in Thursday previews at the domestic box office.
The movie is on track to clear over $50 million in its domestic debut this weekend in 3,901 theaters, despite also being made available simultaneously on Peacock.
It follows on from last year’s “Halloween Kills” which also launched day-and-date in theaters and on Peacock and earned $4.9 million in previews on its way to a $49 million opening weekend.
Like the prior film, reviews have been divisive and leaning on the negative side – though not as negatively as with ‘Kills’.
