“Halloween Ends” Heads For $50M+ Opening

Halloween Ends Hits Peacock Day And Date
Universal Pictures

After two months without any serious performers, the box-office is about to come back to life.

Even with a simultaneous day and date debut on Peacock, Universal Pictures’ trilogy capper “Halloween Ends” is reportedly on track to earn $50 million, and potentially as high as $60 million, at the domestic box-office in its opening weekend.

To give you an idea of how big a jump that is, the last three weekends have seen the combined U.S. box-office total of every film in release coming in at an average of $55 million.

The projection is also a jump up from “Halloween Kills” which also had a simultaneous day and date debut on Peacock and debuted to $49.4 million in the United States.

The film has been sold on being Jamie Lee Curtis’ final time as scream queen Laurie Strode, and Curtis has been hard at work in recent works promoting the film’s release.
