“Crawl” and “Piranha 3D” director Alexandre Aja is teaming with Oscar winner Halle Berry for the elevated thriller “Mother Land” at 21 Laps and Lionsgate.
The story will chart the story of a mother and her twin sons who have been tormented by an evil spirit for years. When one of the boys questions whether the evil is real, the family’s sacred bond is broken, and it becomes a fight for survival.
The project is expected to go into production next year with “Stranger Things” producing alum Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen and Dan Levine also onboard. The script was written by “Mean Dreams” scribes Kevin Coughlin and Ryan Grassby.
