Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” pulled in an impressive $17 million during Thursday domestic previews last night – the highest preview gross of 2017.
In comparison, the first film opened to $11.2 million at Thursday previews and went on to earn $94.3 million its first weekend. The opening for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” is currently looking to be likely in the $150 million range.
The international gross of the film is already up to $167 million as of today. Also out today is some concept art from the film which has made its way online. One is an alternate green-skinned design for Mantis, the others are a look at Sylvester Stallone and Michael Rosenbaum’s characters in the film.
