Rockstar Games

The Facebook Connect keynote event this week revealed that Rockstar Games’ iconic PS2 title “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” will be coming to the Oculus Quest 2 VR headset reports Collider.

The news comes hot on the heels of the trailer for a remastered version of the game first announced the other week and which is bundled with “Vice City” and “Grand Theft Auto III”. That title will hit stores on November 11th.

Released in 2004, ‘San Andreas’ remains one of the most famed and fan favorite entries in the series, and one of the best video games of all time. No word as to when the VR version might be available.

The news comes as Rolling Stone revealed that Dr. Dre, who hasn’t released solo music since 2015, is working on new songs for the “Grand Theft Auto” video game franchise.

The outlet got the news from Dre’s longtime friend and collaborator Snoop Dogg who is also on board and says Dre is in the studio now and “some of his music is connected to the GTA game that’s coming out.”

Rockstar has yet to announce a “Grand Theft Auto VI” even as many believe it is being worked on. The last major entry in the series, “Grand Theft Auto V,” was released eight years ago and is considered the most financially successful entertainment product of all time.
