Ariana Grande and Josh Gad are set to join directors Jon M. Chu and Jill Culton’s forthcoming animated musical film adaptation of the Dr. Seuss book “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” at Warner Bros. Pictures Animation.
The pair will lend their voices to the project which Rob Lieber penned the script for based on Dr. Seuss’ acclaimed and last published children’s book which released in 1990. Seuss died the next year at age 87.
Dr. Seuss Enterprises and Bad Robot are backing the project which has J.J. Abrams and Gregg Taylor set as producers. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are writing original songs for the project.
A priority for the studio, the book follows a young boy on a wandering journey and encourages readers of all ages to embrace the adventures and opportunities that come their way, even when faced with setbacks or uncertainty.
Both Chu and Grade are coming off the success of “Wicked” and will be back on the publicity circuit for “Wicked: For Good” soon. Grande has “Meet the Parents 4” coming up, while Gad has “Spaceballs 2” on the way.
“Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” is set for theatrical release and IMAX on March 17th 2028.
