“Gotham Knights” Begins Multi-Patch Rollout

WB Games

Following a wave of tepid reviews and harsher fan complaints, developer WB Games MontrĂ©al has announced that it’s racing out patches for its high-profile “Gotham Knights” release.

The game’s official Twitter account says an update for the PC version is out now and boasts fixes relating to a few bugs (along with removing Denuvo). Patches for the console version arrive later this week with a “mix of needed fixes that have popped up since launch”.

This patch is reportedly just a small one ahead of a much more significant performance update on the way with the developer saying it wants to “specifically [aim] to address challenges with framerate stability” on console.

News of the patches come as analysis videos of the title have been damning of the released game showing the console versions struggling to hit 30fps, whilst PC versions are not faring much better along with several other technical issues.

A new video published today at Digital Foundry goes into the PC version and found many issues tie to the game’s CPU usage and revealed even the highest spec PC (12900K/RTX 4090) struggling.
