Universal Pictures has won an auction for a currently untitled drama which will star Ryan Gosling, is being helmed by David Leitch (“Deadpool 2”) and has Drew Pearce (“Iron Man 3”) set to write the script.
Leitch is currently in pre-production on the Sony action film “Bullet Train” starring Brad Pitt while Gosling has also signed on to star with Chris Evans in the Russo Brothers’ “The Gray Man” for Netflix with Joe and Anthony Russo directing. However the plan is to make this film quickly.
Gosling, Kelly McCormick and Guymon Casady are producing. Universal reportedly beat out Netflix, Paramount and MGM for the project.
