“Good Omens” S2 Set For Summer 2023

Just over three years since “Good Omens” premiered on Amazon Prime, a release window has finally been unveiled for the second season.

Michael Sheen and David Tennant are back as Aziraphale and Crowley, respectively in the sophomore run which will arrive on the streamer sometime in Summer 2023.

In the new episodes, the pair may have helped stopped the Apocalypse but now must return to solve a mystery that takes in all of heaven and hell.

Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton, Reece Shearsmith, Niamh Walsh and Derek Jacobi are all back for the new run, as are Nina Sosanya and Miranda Richardson albeit as new characters. Meanwhile Maggie Service, Quelin Sepulveda and Shelley Conn join the gang.

Check out photos of five of the new characters below. Neil Gaiman continues as executive producer and will co-showrun along with executive producer Douglas Mackinnon, who also will return to direct.

The news comes as it was also announced today Ben Kingsley is set to star as an osteopath who once worked for Al Capone in the Colm McCarthy-directed feature film adaptation of Gaiman’s first ever graphic novel “Violent Cases” which he co-wrote with Dave McKean.
