“Godzilla vs Kong” Moves Up To March

With MGM and Universal’s Bond film “No Time to Die” looking likely to vacate its Easter weekend release on April 2nd, one of its key competitors appears to be aiming to fill the void.

Following Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment striking a deal to keep “Godzilla vs Kong” as a day-and-date theatrical and HBO Max release, the studio has moved that film’s release up by two months – to March 26th.

On that weekend it will have zero competition and also means the marketing campaign for the Adam Wingard-directed film, which has been next to nothing so far, will ramp up quickly.

Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Jessica Henwick, Kyle Chandler, Demian Bichir and Julian Dennison star in this fourth instalment of the ‘Monsterverse’ films following “Godzilla,” “Kong: Skull Island” and “Godzilla: King of the Monsters”.
