“Top Gun: Maverick” and “Scream Queens” star Glen Powell has shut down rumors he’ll be playing Cyclops in an upcoming “X-Men” film at Marvel Studios.
Speaking to Variety recently, the actor responded to talk that has been going around for a few months now suggesting he’d appear as the leader of the group in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to the actor, he doesn’t even have any information to contact Marvel if he wanted to:
“Before Comic-Con, everybody was like, ‘Dude, are you Cyclops?’ No, I’m not. Nobody has called me. I don’t even have one contact info for Marvel, so I have no idea what people are talking about.”
Marvel Studios doesn’t appear to have set any actual plans regarding its iconic mutant group, despite a recent tease of ‘mutants’ in “Ms. Marvel” on the Disney+ service.
