“Ghost of Tsushima” Set For June 26th

The highly anticipated PlayStation exclusive game “Ghost of Tsushima” has finally set a release date, one way earlier than expected. Set to hit June 26th, Sony has also issued a new trailer showing off the game’s story and graphics as they’re rendered on a PS4 Pro.

Set on Tsushima Island in 1274, the game revolves around one of the last samurai, Jin Sakai, during the first Mongol invasion of Japan with Tsushima the final obstacle between the mainland and a huge Mongol invasion fleet.

The island’s samurai forces fought against overwhelming odds and were defeated with Jin one of the few survivors of his clan. His world is shattered and he faces a difficult decision to continue fighting the way he was trained or use unconventional means. He is soon resolved to do whatever it takes to liberate Tsushima from the invading army and its leader Khotun Khan.

The project hails from Sucker Punch Productions, the studio behind the celebrated “Infamous” games. The release date gives the game a good few months of availability before the arrival of the PlayStation 5 console during the holiday season.
