“Ghost of Tsushima” Is PS4’s Fastest Selling Title

PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst has announced that “Ghost of Tsushima” has become the fastest-selling title for the PlayStation 4 with more than four million copies sold since its debut in July.

Sucker Punch Productions, who had the best selling PS4 launch title with “Infamous: Second Son,” closed out the console generation with this acclaimed samurai game set against the backdrop of a Mongol invasion of the titular Japanese island.

The game already held the record of the fastest-selling original title for the PlayStation 4, now it has also become fastest-selling overall title. In terms of overall sales amongst PS4 exclusives, it sits behind “Uncharted 4” on 16 million copies sold, “Marvel’s Spider-Man” on 13.2 million, “God of War” on 12 million, “Horizon Zero Dawn” on 10 million, “The Last of Us Remastered” on 10 million, “Infamous Second Son” on 6 million, “Final Fantasy VII Remake” on 5 million, and just ahead of “The Last of Us Part II” on 4 million and both “Detroit: Become Human” and “Persona 5” on 3.2 million.

“Ghost of Tsushima” will be playable at 60 frames per second on the PS5 which releases today.
