German film sales agents Raspberry & Cream have picked up the Filipino low-brow comedy/horror feature “Remington And The Curse of the Zombadings” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Jade Castro-directed zombie film follows a macho young man named Remington (Martin Escudero) who, as a child, insulted a drag queen in a graveyard. He falls under a spell that pushes him into a love triangle with his best friend and the girl-next-door.
Meanwhile his police officer mother investigates a series of murders around town. The project is one of the most successful indie features ever in the Philippines where it was released last year. Reviews however have been mixed.
No word as to a U.S. release date at this time.
