After more than a year of waiting, a new trailer and more importantly a release date has arrived for the long-anticipated action-RPG title “Elden Ring”.
The project hails from FromSoftware, the critically acclaimed developers of the “Dark Souls” trilogy, Playstation exclusives “Demons Souls” and “Bloodborne,” and the acclaimed “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice” which means you can expect rich worldbuilding and plenty of highly demanding and complicated combat (this time including fighting from a mounted steed).
The world of this game was developed by both “Dark Souls” creator Hidetaka Miyazaki and “Game of Thrones” author George R.R. Martin. The trailer, which shows off a mix of cinematics and gameplay, was revealed during the Summer Game Fest presentation which serves as a precursor to a week of virtual presentations for this year’s E3 expo starting this Sunday.
“Elden Ring” comes to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on January 21st 2022.
