Geoff Keighley’s “Summer Game Fest: Kickoff Live,” a virtual event that serves as a precursor to this year’s E3 presentations, has taken place with various game announcements and updates.
Among those updates was the news that “Axiom Verge 2” is set to launch this summer and this time will land on PlayStation consoles. “Journey” creator thatgamecompany’s mobile-only title “Sky: Children of the Light” will be coming to the Switch on June 29th.

Evil Dead: The Game
A first look at gameplay from “Evil Dead: The Game” has arrived. The co-op title looks rather gorgeous as it recreates the environment of Sam Raimi’s first two films.
You can play as Ash or one of the other characters from the franchise taking on the hordes of Deadites in the third person, or you can play from the first-person perspective of the Kandarian Demon itself and take on the good guys. The game hits later this year.
Jurassic World: Evolution 2
The follow-up to the 2018 park management simulation title, the sequel is set after the events of “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” with new dinosaurs brought to life and more customization options as players are able to leave the Muertes Archipelago for the first time.
Jeff Goldblum reprises his role of Dr. Ian Malcolm and Bryce Dallas Howard is set to voice Claire Dearing in the campaign of the title which will arrive for all platforms sometime later this year.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
Andy Samberg, Wanda Sykes, Will Arnett and Ashly Burch lend their voices to the “Borderlands” spin-off “Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands” which will debut early next year on all platforms. The first trailer for that was shown and can be watched below and showcases a change-up to the gameplay style of the main franchise.
Death Stranding: Director’s Cut
Hideo Kojima offered a quick glimpse at “Death Stranding: Director’s Cut,” an expanded and ‘definitive’ version of the original 2019 game remastered exclusively for PlayStation 5. More details on that title are expected to be released shortly.
Two Point Campus
Following the leak the other week, “Two Point Campus” has been officially announced for release in 2022. This serves as a sequel to the critically acclaimed management sim “Two Point Hospital”.
Like that title, you’ll be tasked with building and running your very own campus environment where the decisions you make will shape the lives of the students you enrol and the staff you hire. The title comes to PC, PlayStation & Xbox in 2022.
Back 4 Blood
The spiritual successor to the “Left 4 Dead” franchise, the first-person mutant zombie hunting co-op title scored a new trailer here ahead of its beta launch in August and actual release October 12th. You play one of eight playable characters who make up the Ridden slaying group, The Cleaners.
The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes
The third of “The Dark Pictures Anthology” games following “Man of Medan” and “Little Hope,” “House of Ashes” unfolds in during the post-9/11 war in the Middle East as an ancient evil trapped underground in a buried Sumerian temple is awoken by a team of American soldiers. The game arrives October 22nd.
Metal Slug Tactics
The run-and-gun franchise from the 90s is back and this time tactical form as Marco, Eri, Fio, and Tarma lead the Peregrine Falcon Squad into a new pixel art meets fluid animation battlefield with dynamic, strategic combat. The title also boasts original music by Tee Lopes.
Solar Ash
Heart Machine, the creators of “Hyper Light Drifter,” offered an all new gameplay clip from “Solar Ash” coming exclusively to Epic Games Store, PS5 and PS4 later this year from Annapurna Interactive. The title is set in the same universe but is not a direct sequel.
Salt and Sacrifice
A follow-up to “Salt and Sanctuary,” developer SKA Studios are back with their 2D Souls-like hardcore RPG platformer which ditches the pixelart this time for more hand-drawn graphics as you play a marked inquisitor who hunts mages rather than face the executioner. The title arrives on PC and PlayStation in 2022.
Planet of Lana
A young girl and her loyal friend embark on a rescue mission through a colorful world full of cold machines and unfamiliar creatures. This is a lovely looking cinematic puzzle adventure game framed by an epic sci-fi saga that stretches across centuries and galaxies. It arrives later this year on Steam and Xbox.
Mayhem Brawler
An urban fantasy-themed 90s arcade brawler with comic book art and a beefy soundtrack. Play solo or co-op, while defining the next step in the story which can lead to at least three different endings. The title arrives on August 19th.
The Anacrusis
A four-player, co-op shooter set aboard a massive starship stranded at the edge of explored space. Fight against alien hordes on a setting that boasts a retro 1960s idea of sci-fi design vibe. The project is available this Fall on PC and Xbox.
Endless Dungeon
Amplitude Studios deliver this rogue-lite tactical action game set in the award-winning Endless universe. Recruit a team of shipwrecked heroes, plunge into a long-abandoned space station, and protect your crystal against never-ending waves of monsters. Sega will release the game on all platforms on a date TBA.
Tribes of Midgard
A 1-10 player co-op action survival RPG launching on Steam and PlayStation on July 27th. Midgard is under siege from unwelcome visitors as mythical brutes threaten to bring on Ragnarök. You, the mighty Einherjar, must become the ultimate Viking to save your village from total destruction.
Last Stop
This is a single-player third-person adventure set in present-day London. You play as three separate characters whose worlds collide in the midst of a supernatural crisis. The indie title arrives on all platforms on July 22nd.
Vampire The Masquerade – Bloodhunt
Swedish studio Sharkmob has released details on “Blood Hunt,” a new entry in the “Vampire: The Masquerade” universe. Use weapons and supernatural powers to fight off vampires, and potentially become a vampire yourself. The title arrives later this year.
Payday 3, Painkiller & More
Koch Media announced its premium publishing label ‘Prime Matter’ which included a sizzle reel of a dozen titles including “Payday 3,” a new entry in the “Painkiller” series, the sci-fi action title “Scars Above,” and more. Many of these games are still very much in development and won’t be out for some time.
