Game Awards To Return December 9th
The Game Awards

The Game Awards will return to the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles on December 9th for its first live and in-person event since the pandemic began. Geoff Keighley returns as host.

Since the inaugural ceremony in 2014, The Game Awards celebrates the year’s most notable games along with previewing highly-anticipated gaming titles on the way.

Nominations, presenters, performers and guest appearances will be announced at a later date. As per usual, The Game Awards will be distributed as a free global 4K UHD livestream globally across multiple platforms.

“The Last of Us Part 2” swept the ceremony last year with seven wins including Game of The Year, while “Ghost of Tsushima,” “Hades” and “Among Us” also scored honors. Prior year GOTY winners include “God of War,” “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice,” and “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild”.

2021 has proven a bit of an ‘off’ year for major games but there’s still a couple of potential contenders including “Psychonauts 2,” “It Takes Two,” “Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart,” “Deathloop,” “Returnal,” “Monster Hunter Rise,” “Hitman 3,” “The Forgotten City” and “Tales of Arise”.
