Creator and executive producer Geoff Keighley has announced that the Game Awards 2022 have locked down a December 8th date with the ceremony to be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
The event will be available to watch on more than forty streaming platforms worldwide, including YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok.
The 2022 show will also introduce the ‘Best Adaptation’ category, which recognizes creative works (films, shows, podcasts, novels, etc.) that authentically adapt video game IP.
Previous Game of the Year winners includes “It Takes Two” in 2021,” “The Last of Us Part II” in 2020, “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice” in 2019, “God of War” in 2018, “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” in 2017, “Overwatch” in 2016, “The Witcher 3” in 2015 and “Dragon Age: Inquisition” in 2014.
