“Wonder Woman” star Gal Gadot is in final negotiations to play the Evil Queen in the live-action adaptation of “Snow White” at Disney Pictures.
Rachel Zegler is set to play the title character in the film with Marc Webb directing and Marc Platt producing. Shooting will kick off next year.
The original 1938 “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” cartoon by Disney, based on the Brothers Grimm fairytale, was the studio’s inaugural animated feature and became a massive success for them.
The live-action film will expand upon the story and music from the original and has Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (“La La Land,” “The Greatest Showman”) set to write new songs for the movie.
