Gal Gadot and her husband Jaron Varsano are planning a film adaptation of Dorit Rabinian’s 2014 controversial novel “Borderlife” (aka. “All the Rivers”) at Keshet International.
The story follows a Jewish Israeli woman and Palestinian man who meet in New York and fall in love. Gadot and Varsano will co-produce via their Pilot Wave production banner.
Israel’s education ministry banned the book from high school reading lists because of its cross-cultural romance depiction, that sparked protests and the novel was later allowed in advanced literature classes.
Gadot stars in “Wonder Woman 1984” opening in June.
