FX made a bunch of announcements this morning, starting with them handing out official renewals to “Fargo” for a fifth season and “Dave” for a third with both expected to premiere in 2023.

The fifth season of Noah Hawley’s “Fargo” will take place in the upper Midwest in 2019 and asks “when is a kidnapping not a kidnapping” and “what if your wife isn’t yours?”. It’s also confirmed this new season will be filmed this winter.

Next up, FX chairman John Landgraf confirms that the fourth season of “Atlanta” will be the show’s last. The news comes ahead of the ten-episode third season’s premiere on March 24th. The fourth season, shot back-to-back with the third, will arrive on screens sometime this Fall.

FX has also set launch windows for two high-profile series. The Jeff Bridges-led “The Old Man” is back in production after going on hiatus while Bridges was undergoing cancer treatment, and will launch sometime this Summer.

Finally the six-part series “Pistol,” based on the memoir of guitarist Steve Jones from The Sex Pistols, will premiere sometime this May.
