A spinoff of FX’s acclaimed drama series “Snowfall” is in the early stages of development at the network reports Deadline. The news comes just weeks ahead of the series finale on April 19th

Should it go forward, the series would potentially star Gail Bean as fan-favorite character Wanda Bell-Simmons in what would be a continuation of the story a few years later.

Malcolm Spellman will reportedly serve as executive producer and writer of the pilot whilst Dave Andron, Trevor Engelson, Michael London, Tommy Schlamme and Julie DeJoie ould executive produce.

Original “Snowfall” co-creators John Singleton (posthumously) and Eric Amadio, as well as producer Evan Silverberg are also expected to get credit.
