Apple TV and Sony Pictures Television have premiered the official full trailer for “The X-Files” writer turned “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” creator Vince Gillian’s new series “Pluribus”.
Two-time Emmy nominee Rhea Seehorn stars in the series as Carol – a woman who is also ‘the most miserable person on Earth’. Her mission? She must save the world from happiness.
The trailer indicates that the world’s citizenry has become ‘happy’ overnight in an almost Body Snatchers-style way, with Carol being one of the few exceptions.
Further cast includes Karolina Wydra (“Sneaky Pete”) and Carlos-Manuel Vesga (“Donde Tú Quieras”) as regulars, while guest stars include Miriam Shor (“American Fiction”) and Samba Schutte (“Our Flag Means Death”).
Gilligan, Gordon Smith, Alison Tatlock, Diane Mercer, Allyce Ozarski and Jeff Frost executive produce for Sony Pictures Television.
The nine-episode drama will premiere its first two episodes on November 7th with subsequent episodes unrolling weekly through December 26th. A second season has already been ordered.
