Celebrated genre filmmakers Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead return with their latest darkly comedic sci-fi effort “Something in the Dirt” which released a full trailer.
The pair debuted with the low-budget “Resolution,” the acclaimed creature feature “Spring,” and the wild “The Endless”. More recently, they did 2019’s time travel drug tale “Synchronic” starring Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan, and have been playing in the Marvel sandbox with “Loki” and “Moon Knight”
In the new film, the story follows two conspiracy-theory-inclined new neighbors who witness what seems to be a supernatural event in one of their apartments in the Hollywood Hills.
At first terrified, they realize that documenting this phenomenon could provide them with the lives they’ve always dreamed of.
Along with directing, the pair star in the lead roles, produce and edit, with Benson also penning the script.
“Something In The Dirt” opens in theaters on November 4th via XYZ Films ahead of a digital on-demand release on November 22nd.
