Max has premiered the full trailer for filmmaker Steven Soderbergh’s new limited series “Full Circle” which sees him re-teaming with “Mosaic” and “No Sudden Move” writer Ed Solomon.
The six-episode New York City-set crime thriller series follows an investigation into a botched kidnapping that uncovers long-held secrets connecting multiple characters and cultures in the city.
The trailer shows a whole bunch of dark action yet remains vague enough that it’s not quite clear what is going on. It does, however, indicate some scenes take place well outside of New York.
The cast includes Claire Danes, Timothy Olyphant, Zazie Beetz, Dennis Quaid, Jim Gaffigan, Jharrel Jerome, CCH Pounder, William Sadler, Phaldut Sharma, Adia, Sheyi Cole, Gerald Jones, Suzanne Savoy, Ethan Stoddard and Lucian Zanes star.
Soderbergh directed all six episodes of the series and previously teased that: “Even by Ed’s standards, this is a complex narrative that manages to be both kaleidoscopic and intimate.”
The series, shot late last year on location, the first two episodes will premiere on Max on July 13th, with two new episodes premiering weekly through the series finale on July 27th.
