Netflix has premiered the full trailer for comedian Mike Myers’ new comedy series “The Pentaverate” ahead of its release next Friday on the service.
The series deals with unlikely old-school Canadian news journalist Ken Scarborough (Myers) who finds himself embroiled in a mission to uncover the truth and save the world from the eponymous five-men strong Illuminati-style organisation that has been influencing world events for centuries.
Myers himself will play eight characters in the series including the journalist, a New England conspiracy theorist, a far-right radio host, a former media mogul, an ex-Russian oligarch, a former music manager, a tech genius, and The Pentaverate’s oldest and highest-ranking member – Lord Lordington.
Ken Jeong, Keegan-Michael Key, Debi Mazar, Richard McCabe, Jennifer Saunders and Lydia West also star in the series which will consist of six thirty-minute episodes created and executive produced by Myers, while Tim Kirkby (“Fleabag,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”) is directing and executive producing.
Jason Weinberg, John Lyons, Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns also executive produce. The series will premiere on Netflix on May 5th.
