Following a tease back in June, Apple TV+ has now released the full trailer for “The Lost Bus,” a new survival drama feature from “The Bourne Ultimatum” and “Green Zone” filmmaker Paul Greengrass.
Marking his first leading role in years, Matthew McConaughey stars as Kevin McCay – a bus driver who must navigate a bus carrying nearly two dozen children and their teacher to safety through the 2018 Camp Fire, which became the deadliest fire in California history.
Also starring are America Ferrera as school teacher Mary Ludwig along with Yul Vazquez as Ray Martinez, Ashlie Atkinson, Spencer Watson and Danny McCarthy.
The film is an adaptation of Lizzie Johnson’s book “Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire”.
Jamie Lee Curtis, Jason Blum, Brad Ingelsby and Gregory Goodman produce the film, which was shot a year ago in New Mexico with a script by Ingelsby. James Newton Howard is handling the score.
The film will release in select cinemas on September 19th, followed by a streaming release on October 3rd.
