Trying to blend a period “Top Gun” with an uplifting true story, Sony Pictures has premiered the full trailer for its aerial war epic “Devotion” starring two major rising talents out there – Jonathan Majors (“Loki,” “Lovecraft Country”) and Glen Powell (“Top Gun: Maverick,” “Scream Queens”).
Based on Adam Makos’ bestselling book of the same name, the feature tells the harrowing true story of two elite US Navy fighter pilots during the Korean War. Their heroic sacrifices would ultimately make them the Navy’s most celebrated wingmen.
J.D. Dillard helms the project from a script by Jake Crane & Jonathan A. H. Stewart. Christina Jackson, Thomas Sadoski, Joe Jonas and Serinda Swan co-star and the film premieres at the Toronto Film Festival next month followed by a major theatrical release on November 23rd.
